ReadyTech bolsters position in enterprise education market with acquisition of AVAXA

27 September 2021: ReadyTech (ASX: RDY) has expanded its footprint in the Australia enterprise education market, today announcing the acquisition of specialist Victorian TAFE student management system software business, AVAXA.

Bolstering ReadyTech’s reputation as the education technology partner of choice for providers right across Australia, the acquisition of AVAXA will bring together strong TAFE domain expertise and new enterprise customer relationships, including several leading TAFE and higher education providers such as Chisholm Institute and Melbourne Polytechnic.

ReadyTech CEO, Marc Washbourne said the addition of AVAXA builds upon ReadyTech’s already strong customer base in the Education market (which includes Bendigo Kangan Institute), to reinforce ReadyTech’s position as a fast-growing technology partner of choice for educators seeking to digitally transform their teaching and student experience through next generation education technology.

“AVAXA have deep domain expertise and strong TAFE and enterprise capability through their existing relationships with six of Australia’s leading TAFE and dual sector institutions,” Marc said.

“The acquisition is highly complementary to our education offering and will allow us to combine AVAXA’s key customer base and reputation in the TAFE sector with ReadyTech’s position as a key technology partner for enterprise education institutions.”

AVAXA adds to ReadyTech’s existing next generation SaaS offering for TAFE and the Australian tertiary education market, which includes cloud-based systems in student management, student profiling, and learning management.

“Australia’s vocational education and training system is admired around the world and TAFE will continue to be a key channel for upskilling and reskilling the workers we need in Australia to underpin our future economic success.” Marc said.

“ReadyTech’s acquisition of AVAXA is an investment in that future. We look forward to supporting more TAFEs in Victoria and around Australia with the technology they need to manage student journeys and experiences in a time of innovation and opportunity in tertiary education.”
