ReadyTech to lead MBIE’s Government Procurement Platform

ReadyTech secures contract to design Government Procurement Platform for New Zealand’s Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). 
 

Melbourne, 12 October 2023 -- Leading ASX-listed technology provider ReadyTech has secured a pivotal contract for the design and discovery phase of the groundbreaking Government Procurement Platform for New Zealand’s Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).  

This momentous initiative, set to reshape procurement processes, is a collaborative effort led by ReadyTech and supported by a consortium that includes Consolidated Tenders and Hitachi Energy. 

Laurence Pidcock, the General Manager of New Zealand Government Procurement, said: "We are really excited to start work with ReadyTech Consortium, including Consolidated Tenders and Hitachi Energy, on the design and discovery phase for the project." 

The primary objective of the initial contract is to collaboratively develop a state-of-the-art panel management system. The ultimate vision is to establish an integrated procurement platform that empowers agencies and suppliers to seamlessly transition their procurement lifecycle activities – Planning, Sourcing, and Management – into a robust digital environment. ReadyTech will work closely with New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP), MBIE cyber security, and system architects to outline the path toward. 

Pidcock added: "In the future, we hope agencies will be able to establish or migrate their existing panels to the Procurement Platform. We want to free up agencies and suppliers' time, reduce administrative burdens, and capture higher quality data with a shared platform. More reliable data will enable richer insights and lead to better intelligence-led decisions."
