Training Program

ReadyTech offers a range of professional development courses for local governments throughout Australia.

Training registrations close 7 days prior to commencement of the training session. If registrations have closed for the training session you would like to attend, please contact us on (08) 9315 7000 or email training@gov.readytech.io and we will do our best to accommodate your booking.

Note: Courses marked as “Online Workshops” in the description are live streamed only, via Microsoft Teams, and are not available for attending in person in our classroom.

 

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

  1. Written cancellation received up to 5 business days prior to the commencement of the course will attract an administration fee of 25% of the quoted fees.
  2. Written cancellation received 3 days or less before the event will attract an administration fee of 50% of the quoted fees.
  3. If written cancellation is not received prior to the course and the participant does not attend on the day(s), then the full quoted fee will be charged.
  4. Should the participant be unable to attend, a substitute nomination is welcome at no additional charge.
  5. ReadyTech reserves the right to cancel/postpone a course in the event of unforeseen circumstances or insufficient numbers. Every effort will be made to ensure that participants of cancelled courses are placed on the next available course.

 

FAQs

 

Where is the training venue?

Training is hosted in-person at ReadyTech's Perth office at 15 Ogilvie Road, Mt Pleasant WA 6153.

The Training Room is located on Level 3. As you enter the building, use the elevator to go to Level 3. Please follow the signs as you exit the elevator to the training room.

All ReadyTech guests are required to sign in using the iPad provided. 

Online training is available and is administered through Microsoft Teams.

 

Where do I park?

There is paid street parking in front of the office on Ogilvie Road, however due to construction works underway, you may like to note these options as well.

Paid street parking can be found on adjacent streets:

  • The Esplanade (5 mins walk)
  • Moreau Mews/Kishorn Road (5 mins walk over Canning Highway walk bridge, which exits next to Clancy’s Fish Pub)

Unfortunately, the parking building behind ReadyTech (IT Vision) is no longer open to the public.

 

Is there public transport available?

Yes – a number of Transperth buses operate along Canning Highway, just a short walk from ReadyTech's Perth office. Canning Bridge train station is also easy to access, about a 10 minute walk from the office. 

 

What time is my training session?

For training sessions in our Perth office, Half Day training sessions start at 9am and finish at 1pm. Full Day training sessions start at 9am and finish at 4:30pm.

For training sessions hosted online, Half Day training sessions start at 8:30am and finish at 1pm and Full Day training sessions start at 8:30am and finish at 4:30pm.

Our training sessions are in Australian Western Standard time, unless courses are specific to QLD and NSW only. Please note that for those courses specific to QLD and NSW only, timing will be based on Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).

 

What time do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at the training venue 15 minutes prior to the start time.

 

What do I need to bring with me?

A notepad and pen, and any questions or examples that you’d like addressed in the training session.

 

I’m completing training online. What do I need?

If you’re completing training online, access to Microsoft Teams is required. We also strongly recommend you have dual computer monitors set up and a functioning microphone, as our workshops are very interactive, and questions are encouraged.

If you’re attending a SynergySoft workshop, please follow the instructions provided in the reminder emails to ensure you can test your access to the training server prior to the date of training.

 

Is lunch included?

Morning or afternoon tea is provided for half day training sessions.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided for full day training sessions. 

Tea, coffee and water is provided for all training sessions.

 

Do I need to prepare or ready anything prior to the training session?

No preparation is required. However, if there are specific questions you would like answered in your training session, please send these through to training@gov.readytech.io ahead of time. We will also provide you with a course outline prior to your training session if you would like to read this and familiarise yourself with the content.

 

Are there options for online training?

Unless otherwise noted, each training session is available face-to-face and online. Simply select 'Online' as your preference for the attendance method, and it will take you to all the online courses available.

Courses noted as 'Online Workshops' in the description are live streamed only, via Microsoft Teams, and are not available for attending in person in our classroom.
