ReadyTech acquisition opens window to Local Government sector expansion

17 December 2021: ReadyTech (ASX:RDY) has announced the acquisition of cloud-based contract management and procurement software provider Open Windows, expanding its proposition for Local and State Government customers to include supporting them with their complex procurement lifecycles.

Joining its existing offering for Government & Justice, Open Windows will allow ReadyTech to support Local Government customers throughout the entire procurement and contract management process, including tenders, compliance, contracts, supplier relationship management and sourcing.

ReadyTech Co-Founder and CEO, Marc Washbourne said ReadyTech already has a strong footprint in the sector – supporting Government customers to streamline online services including payment processing, customer requests, rates, planning applications, licensing and permitting.

“Open Windows enhances ReadyTech’s product-market fit for the Government sector,” he said.

“Our team has a strong track record of working with Government customers to help improve their operations with cloud-based software. With this acquisition we are widening that offering. We are pleased to welcome the talented Open Windows team to the growing ReadyTech family.”

Open Windows is built to handle the complex requirements of multi-party contract management and procurement supply chains. It has a strong reputation in the Government sector for a modular SaaS-based approach, unique workflow process design, and an attractive user interface.

Additionally, Open Windows brings a public and private sector customer base that will bolster ReadyTech’s footprint and extend the solutions it can provide Government customers at a time when they are looking to cloud software as a tool to improve process management and civic engagement.

ReadyTech’s Government & Justice Chief Executive, Phillip Simone, said the Government & Justice team had a history of partnering with Open Windows on a number of successful customer implementations, and closer integration would provide a strong value proposition to these customers into the future.

Open Windows founders Shane McInnes and Adam McInnes said joining ReadyTech would allow staff and customers to benefit from the maturity and backing of a dynamic and fast-growing Australian SaaS company.

“We’re excited to join the Government & Justice business segment, and ReadyTech more broadly. This acquisition will enable us to provide an even better offering to our customers, both now and into the future.” McInnes said.
