ReadyTech has deep roots and a strong future in Tasmania, with a key part of our organisation-wide business strategy involving growing our investment, local support and team, and customer footprint in the state.
Our history in Tasmania began over 20 years ago with the inception of a local team and product for education and training providers, VETtrak.
This team and capability has since grown and evolved as we’ve expanded the ReadyTech product suite to deliver highly specialised, market-centric SaaS across the Education & Work Pathways, Workforce Solutions, and Government & Justice sectors.
In the last 20 years, ReadyTech has fostered a community of more than 60 local customers across Tasmania. As part of this footprint, we also play an active role in supporting the skilling of Tasmania’s workforce through our both our products and our ongoing commitment to the local sector through initiatives such as our continued sponsorship of the Tasmanian Training Awards.
Investing in our team, and supporting the growth and upskilling of local tech talent
As part of our people-first investment and focus in Tas, we have a team of 45 talented ReadyTechers (employees) on the ground in Launceston, working in what has become our local Centre of Excellence. Here, with the support of the local government, we are on our way to developing a hub of technology capabilities in software engineering, data science, product management and customer support. We have also employed a number of UTas graduates in recent months, and will continue working to evolve our partnerships with UTas and TasTAFE to provide more local graduate employment opportunities with us in the technology sector.
Looking to the future, we are actively working on delivering against our commitment to grow our Centre of Excellence, which we believe will help expand the pool of technology skills available in Tasmania’s workforce. As an organisation, our vision is for our Tasmanian operations to become an inseparable part of our success in building world-class technology products for businesses in Australia and around the world.
